Yoga

YOGA IS MORE THAN STRETCHING . . . AND HERE’S A STORY ABOUT IT

Our yoga teacher Maggie was introduced to yoga in 2003 when her voice teacher said it would help strengthen her breath for singing.  It didn’t really catch her attention until some intense life events prompted her to study Reiki (an ancient healing art therapy).  It started to intrigue her more so she decided to stretch and help other people stretch, too.  Thus, came yoga and GIRL was she wrong!!!  It was so much more than that.

Leaping into Yoga Teacher Training she received her 200-hour certification at one of the first yoga schools on the Jersey Shore.  She found it was a means of connecting within – to the true Self – of returning home to that place of Wholeness.

She is now a Graduate Student in the Masters of Yoga Therapy program at Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH) where she studies yoga philosophy, anatomy, and the mechanisms of the body with some of the best teachers in the business.

She has become a life long student and works to guide others on their journey to health and inner resource.
